Welcome to LADIONE® Skincare!
All of us at Loam® are customers of skincare first, just like yourself, and a company second. We use and standby 100% of the organic products we sell as do our friends and families. We made them with our own health in mind and we now wish to share them with you.
Before we started LADIONE®, we too spent years looking for and trying products from other companies that we hoped worked for all our different skin types and ages. Not satisfied with what the mainstream cosmetic industry had to offer, we create LADIONE® - a skincare line dedicated to high levels of USDA-Certified Organic and 100% all-natural, chemical-free ingredients.
Being the health conscious group of people that we are, we watch what we put in our bodies as well as on it.
Finding organic food at grocery stores is now easier than ever, but cosmetic products what we put on our skin is still far behind. We hope to change that trend with our honest skincare products.
Aging is inevitable, how you deal with it is your choice.
Before we created LOAM, we too were clients of other skincare product companies in the past and we had the inability to filter out what worked and what did not. What was a false promise or a beautiful lie. This uncertainty, this forced blind faith we were told to follow in other skincare brands truly bothered us. We needed a better way. A more honest way.
Unlike most skincare lines, we created Loam to bring honesty to us all, because once we accept reality of aging, we know what to expect and how to go about. The products we sell are products we would give our own family members. We made them with ourselves in mind first and we are now bringing them into your world.
Nothing in todays world can truly reverse aging. It will just not happen, but how we mask our visible concerns and supplement moisture into the skin can make a difference and it starts with avoiding toxic chemicals.
Most anti-aging products make all the promises in the world and are filled with chemicals. Moisturizing is everything to your skins appearance. Moisturized skin is beautiful looking nourished skin. Period! So if you are going to moisturize your skin, do it without toxic laboratory made chemicals and with products from nature. Many companies formulate moisturizers with chemical ingredients that end up drying your skin, forcing you to use more and more of their product, which means more sales.
At Loam, 99% of all our products and ingredients are made by nature, not laboratory.
A side note on the topic of chemicals - at times, man-made preservatives are more helpful to our lives than they are dangerous. Mold for example can cause more damage to our health than a man-made preservative can be when in a small non-toxic dose. Most of our products have zero chemical additives and if we use man-made lab ingredients it will be in the form of Phalate-Free fragrances.
Education and honesty is everything and we are here to bring that to you.
Scientists are looking into promising research overseas in Europe that is attempting to extend the Telomere Length in Human Cells which is said to to slow down the aging process while also-minimizing the severity of disease.
In the United States, no such research is allowed on humans due to FDA regulations which do not see aging as a disease.
Currently, Google is funding "Calico", one of the best funded biotech companies in the United States lead by Vice President of Aging Research, Cynthia Kenyon, Ph.D.
Cynthia made her name in the early 90's with pioneering research, in a worm named C.Elegans, by partially disabling a single gene called DAF-2 which managed to double the lifespan of animals.
In a recent documentary, the BBC was granted a rare interview with Cynthia and Calico, who is a very secretive company. The BBC was not allowed to ask detailed questions about what they're working on.
Although their secret research could not be revealed, Cynthia discussed that at Calico, LLC. they are searching for a better understanding of the process of aging and how to intervene in animals and increase lifespan in a healthy way.
In regards to her findings, Cynthia said, "In just one Fell Swoop the whole animal lived twice as long, ages much more slowly than normal, so that was really stunning, because it's not supposed to happen because then people go, "oh my God if you can do it for these little worms, maybe you could do it for other animals", and sure enough you can. Other people (scientists) later showed, you could do it for fruit flies, you can do it from mice - and maybe, maybe for people, we don't know."
When Cynthia was asked how close science is to delaying aging in humans, Cynthia said, "If people are like animals, in the sense that if there aging machinery is susceptible to intervention the way the animals are, it might be really really close. But if we are different some how, or if we've already kinda maxed out, then it might be a long time. I think we'll be able to do it, i really do."
Gordon Lithgow, PhD, Professor at Buck Institute who is uncovering genes and small molecules that prolong lifespan through enhanced molecular stability stated, "The most amazing anti-aging medicine that we know about right now is exercise. Exercise is really incredible. It will be a long time before we come up with a drug or some other intervention as good as exercise. Nutrition is also important - we know that, at least in the laboratory, if you reduce the number of calories, life span is extended and also disease pathology is suppressed. So those choices of exercise and diet are really important, now, today, this is something we can do today."
